Offering effective online psychotherapy services for the treatment of trauma/PTSD, anxiety conditions, and OCD.

"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom".

- Anaïs Nin

Areas of Expertise

Childhood, adulthood, combat traumas
Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Anxiety conditions (social anxiety, generalized anxiety, panic, phobias)
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

I specialize in providing short-term and long-term psychotherapy for adults with trauma/PTSD, anxiety, and OCD. I am trained in various evidence-based treatments for these conditions and practice from a person-centered framework to support you with what you need, when you need it.

I believe that therapy should focus on all of you. Because so many aspects of your life can affect how you feel, our work also explores the impact work, school, romantic partners, family, friends, and societal systems have on your mental wellbeing and quality of life.

My goal is to provide a supportive space and helpful tools to move you toward the life you want. If this sounds like the right fit for you, please email or call to schedule an appointment or for a free consultation.

About Dr. Adams-Thuerck

Hey there! I'm Dr. Tangeria Adams-Thuerck (she/her), a licensed Clinical Psychologist. I am a former Brooklynite now living in Buffalo, NY.

What can you expect from our work together? I often describe therapy as a dance, meaning that the process moves smoothly when we are in sync. Together, you and I will work to understand your unique needs and support you in moving toward your goals. I provide a caring and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, validated, and empowered to take control of your mental health.

In addition to being a therapist, I am also a published trauma researcher with a focus on childhood traumas and the intergenerational transmission of trauma within families.

Last but not least! - some fun facts about me: I am a lifelong gamer, novice sewist (my mantra: "progress not perfection"), and big-time foodie.
